insurance agency serving clients throughout Virginia and Maryland for over 30 years.
We are also licensed to do business in the District of Columbia. Our staff is dedicated

Our History

On February 23, 1973 James A. Lewis Insurance Agency, Inc. officially opened
for business. As Stafford County's only independent insurance agency, our
personal service and the slogan "large enough to serve, small enough to care"
became well known throughout the region.

The agency changed its corporate makeup in 1980. James A. Lewis Insurance
Agency, Inc. became Lewis Insurance Associates (LIA) for trading purposes,
while the Corporation name remained untouched.

On April 12, 2004 the agency was purchased by our current President,
John W. Atkins, lll. Jim and Vicki Lewis remain a part of the team on a part-time
basis as consultants.

Today, Lewis Insurance Associates continues to provide excellent service
throughout Virginia, Maryland and Washington, DC.
